Course Information

The class moves VERY fast.  Try not to fall behind.  Homework is not collected, but you are STRONGLY urged to work out the problems to stay in practice for the tests.  Remember that although odd-numbered homework exercises have answers given, test problems do not.  You need to understand the steps to find unknown answers.  Exams are closed-book, closed-note.

Grading

The three best of four intermediate tests will count 20% toward the final grade.  The lowest will be dropped.  No makeups are given.  If you miss a test then that will be a drop.  The final counts 40% of grade and is MANDATORY.

Calculators

TI-83 recommended (any calculator with exponential, log and trig).  Using calculators to store formulas, do symbolic algebra, or communicate with internet/other calculators is considered cheating during tests.
