| What Is This Class About? | Students will learn to write research papers MLA style! First, students will read works of literature — both traditional and contemporary — from which they will extract issues for topics of discussions and paper topics. Students will be walked through the entire research-paper writing process, with a focus on learning how to cite sources that support their thesis ideas. |
| How Will I Be Graded? | Students will be graded in four key areas… including thesis (30%), content (30%), MLA format (30%), and grammar (10%).
|
| How To Succeed... | My philosophy is simple… do the work and get a good grade. Grades are based on a 1,000-point scale. Students will know which assignments count for points from the Course Outline. I also encourage students to ask questions as they arise. Don’t wait until it’s too late to find out how to make the grade in the class. |
