| What Is This Class About? | Students will learn to write more persuasively, using various modes of writing — including narrative, descriptive, illustrative, comparison/contrast, and argumentative approaches. In this course we also will discuss how to write papers in the MLA format required by most colleges and universities. |
| How Will I Be Graded? | Students will be graded in four key areas… including thesis (25%), content (25%), MLA format (25%), and grammar (25%).
|
| How To Succeed... | My philosophy is simple… do the work and get a good grade. Grades are based on a 1,000-point scale. Students will know which assignments count for points from the Course Outline. I also encourage students to ask questions as they arise. Don’t wait until it’s too late to find out how to make the grade in the class.
